The Three Pillars
●Truth of Self
Communication that does not come from the heart is not true communication. True words have great power. Your truth is unique – no other person can speak your truth.
Speech you do not truly believe in floats away.
Speech you truly believe in has weight and gravity. It makes an impact and pulls the listener in.
●Purposeful Action
Have a reason to speak. Know what you wish to accomplish. Take action to reach your goals. Consider why you will say each word.
Purposelessly reading aloud or mimicking speech keeps English a foreign language.
Having a purpose for the words you speak makes English your language.
●Talk & Listen / Pinch & Ouch
Use your voice and body specifically to touch your partner. Pay attention to how your partner uses their voice and body to touch you.
Effective communication is only possible when you use your voice and body to shade the words you use. You need to do more than just say words. You need to really talk to your partner.
Effective communication is only possible when you pay attention to how your partner is using language. You need to do more than hear. You need to really listen.
